Testimonials and Photos
Hear what some of our guests and clients have to say about a Mei Mei Street Kitchen food truck wedding:
Mother of the Bride: Just wanted to say thank you for your wonderful food and service at [the] wedding last weekend. All the guests had great things to say about your food…and we also loved that first salad. Thank you so much, and we will spread the word about your truck and your food!
Bride: Thanks so much! We loved having you and it seems you were everyone’s favorite…. We will definitely come visit in Boston!
Groom: As my fiance and I were beginning to prepare our marriage celebration party (we got married at city hall and wanted to plan a “reception” of sorts with friends and family) we knew that we wanted to stray from tradition…”Let’s get a food truck” started as a joke but we quickly realized that with the recent resurgence of food trucks, the possibility and quality were there. So we attended a food truck festival in Boston and fell in love with Mei Mei Street Kitchen. Chinese pulled pork sliders, poached eggs on scallion pancakes with VT cheddar and homemade pesto!? Sold! They were still a very new operation at the time but they easily won first a place prize that day. We had to have her for our party! Mei is the nicest sweetest person and was happy and excited to work with us for our party in October even though they hadn’t worked any weddings yet. The person in charge of our venue was initially somewhat skeptical when she heard the words “food truck” as she expected us to go the traditional catering route and had not heard of this before. She requested that the truck come to the venue to see how it would all work and once Mei and her brother showed up, between their charm and professionalism (they had all of the necessary paperwork ready) it was smooth sailing. The price was very reasonable and we got started working together on a menu. Even with about 100 guests the line moved very quickly and the side dishes were placed on a table next to the truck. Everything was amazing and all of our guests raved about the food and the format. We would do it again in a heartbeat!
Bride: You guys were fantastic and the food was so delicious. Even the handful of people who had given us funny looks and said “Seriously? A food TRUCK?” were won over, big time. Thank you so much for everything. And thanks for the leftovers! We’ve been feasting like kings!
Check out a photo of our first food truck wedding – a lovely affair to celebrate Jamie and Jesse complete with three types of dumplings, porky mac & cheese, local kale salad and more.
